Welcome

Welcome to the William and James Gang Ranch. We are a family owned and operated ranch. We are Tony and Emily Coito. We have two sons William and James, so I'm sure you have guessed where the name of the ranch came from. Also part of the gang is Vince and Pam Sola. Together we make up William and James Gang Ranch, a family farm. Our goal is to raise high quality goats that win shows, produce quality meat, milk, cheese, and maybe a little soap along the way, along with some companionship and fun for the whole family. We have two ranches that we work out of. One in South Tulare and one in West Tipton, California. We raise Boer goats, Alpines, LaManchas and Nubians. We strive to have a happy and healthy herd.
History
This all started with an article that was published in Hobby Farm magazine about pack goats. Being outdoor people we felt like it would be fun to give pack goating a try. We had the 4H goat connection and purchased a LaMancha wether named Billy at 90 days old. Emily took him for walks around the farm and it didn't take long before he looked forward to it. Next came Chivo, another LaMancha wether because goats like companionship and so that made two. After the boys made themselves at home we started doing research online about goats. A couple of books and some time on the computer got us thinking we wanted to start a little show herd for the boys that would be of good quality. That led us to our single greatest discovery on this journey, the finding and friendship of Chuck and Judy Kaye of White Rail Ranch. Judy is great at what she does, she never seems to tire of our questions and inquiries about goats. She sold us our first boer doe that we named Bordeaux and we were on our way. Now our herd numbers and our variety has grown and is still expanding.
